Director of Finance, Vancouver



Overview:  


Our client is a privately held midsized manufacturing company and is looking to add a dynamic, finance leader. The Director of Finance will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for all financial operations and reporting.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to the executive team.
  • Develop cash flow forecasting model integrated with project reporting and production schedules
  • Interpret IFRS guidelines and assess the impact and implementation of relevant policies and procedures across the global operation.
  • Review financial statements from overseas subsidiaries and joint ventures and the consolidated group financials.
  • Write monthly synopsis of global financial/operating results with an emphasis on project reporting
  • Assist in the development and documentation of transfer pricing policies
  • Manage external relationships with external constituents such as auditors, bankers, lawyers and consultants
  • Management of a team of 15 financial professionals

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of financial experience with at least five years in a senior management role.
  • Exceptional amount of drive and energy
  • Experience in setting up financial reporting tools preferably in an international manufacturing company
  • Clear understanding of cost accounting and inventory control
  • Understanding of booking procedure related to program revenue and manufacturing revenues
  • Experience in a multicurrency environment with cross border transactions and transfer pricing
  • Experience as both a controller and financial analyst
  • Able to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment with a roll-up-the-sleeves / lead by example management style
  • Technical and theoretical financial knowledge with the ability to assess the impact of IFRS policies guidelines and apply them accordingly
  • Exceptional oral and written English communications skills
  • Relevant CA, CPA, CGA, CMA qualifications
