International Finance Manager
Overview:
Our client is an established manufacturing company based in Burnaby with subsidiaries and operations around the globe. Continued growth has created the need for an expert in international financial analysis to oversee the financial operations and consolidation.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to jointly to the Director of Finance and CFO, the Manager of Int'l Financial Analysis will be responsible for the consolidation and reporting for all of the international operating units, subsidiaries and joint ventures. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- On a monthly basis, analyze and prepare a management reporting package for the international operations for review with the Director of Finance and the CFO
- Ownership of the budget processes in annual planning and ongoing monthly/ quarterly forecasting of performance against plan for int'l units.
- Build and maintain financial models to provide analytical support for Int'l operating units including monthly forma financial statements, income statements and cash flow
- Understand the dynamics, key performance indicators and cost drivers of the overseas business units
- Implement and monitor internal controls for each subsidiary
- Note, MD&A and Prospectus writing
- Interpretation and application of IFRS
Requirements:
- Professional designation preferred - CA, CPA, ACCA
- 5 years experience in industry financial analysis
- Significant public company experience preferred
- Understanding of IFRS and how implementation influences operations.
- Experience with large multinational companies either internally or with audit engagements
- Works well within teams and individually, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Experience writing MD&A and/or prospectus materials
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to create and communicate fact based analysis to support business decisions
- A track record of good decision-making based on good judgment and high integrity
- Desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment where the ability to be nimble, responsive and adaptable is expected
