Reporting to the VP of Technology, the Product Manager will define and drive market driven plans and activities that help deliver ongoing revenue and meet product release goals. Working with a variety of stakeholders including marketing, development, sales and customers, the product manager will leverage a deep technical background, acquired product knowledge, and an understanding of clients, channels and market trends to achieve the desired results. This position will be highly visible to customers, market analysts, press contacts and the management team.
Responsibilities
• Gather requirements and validate against market research; create and maintain market requirement documents (MRDs)
• Collect and analyze competitive and market-related information; develop into product positioning and product requirements (PRDs)
• Scope scheduled product releases in conjunction with development team
• Development and ownership of use cases based on input from customers, sales and competitive analyses
• Track and prioritize overall product requirements and enhancements
• Development of product-oriented sales tools to support an exceptional client experience, including presentations, pricing, and whitepapers
• Drive creation of client-facing product content to support product sales and ongoing campaigns, including data sheets, case studies and webinars
• Drive sourcing and dissemination of compelling testimonials, analyst reports or news items that lend credibility to the value proposition of your product(s)
• Ensure the ongoing accuracy of all communication vehicles that supply product marketing materials, including the Web site, partner and Intranet sites
• Assist with the development and delivery coordination of internal sales training, and work with marketing as required to adapt existing materials
• Act as product evangelist to internal teams as well as industry analysts, prospects, customers and the market at large with a goal to increasing brand awareness and market share
Requirements
• 4-7 years related experience in software Product Management
• Previous experience with managing cloud-based enterprise software products, preferably with domain knowledge in enterprise content management or customer experience management (CEM)
• Demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders including customers, sales, senior management and technical resources
• Solid track record of creative communication (strong written and verbal English) skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask on many simultaneous projects
• B.Sc or equivalent post-secondary education; Pragmatic Marketing training an asset
• Occasional North American travel will be required.
