The successful candidate will have well rounded experience and training in a combination of hardware, server, networks, applications and database support.  The best candidate for this role is an IT/Database expert and an exceptional troubleshooter who lives, breathes and eats IT - otherwise known as a true IT Guru.

Job Description:

The IT Guru's role is to ensure the stable operations of both in house and client support.  This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networks, servers, hardware, software, and database functions.  This person will also analyze and resolve end user computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and without hesitation.  He/she will become famous for being the best in the company to handle troubleshooting and complex issues and work with both development and support teams.

Mandatory Skills:

  • A degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • 8+ years experience working with hardware, software, databases, networks and server
  • Experience with Windows based technologies and environment (Windows Servers, Applications, SQL Server, Active Directory etc)
  • Expert knowledge with SQL Database or Caché database
  • Experience working within a multi-platform environment (not mandatory, but would be an asset)
  • Citrix experience an asset
  • Exceptional troubleshooting ability
  • Exceptional Database knowledge with an ability to troubleshoot all perspective problems and scenarios
  • Experience working in a 24/7 environment and is comfortable working around the clock as needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with all personality types
  • Experience within a health care environment is an asset

We are not looking for certification, but rather solid hands-on experience and self-dependent hard worker who will be able to resolve complex issues within a timely fashion.
