UX Designer, Vancouver - Contract (AD-UX)

A special project development team is seeking exceptional and experienced windows UX and UI designer with the ability to produce designs that make the complex easy and that experience delightful to the users. This position will report to an experienced technical domain Product Manager who will partner with you to develop a market leading technology.  This position requires a passion for applying user-centered design principles to deliver easy, effective and efficient design solutions to thrill our users and streamline their work.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong history of creating highly functional, user-centered, and desirable designs
- Apply best practices for information architecture, UI interactions, and content delivery
- Be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible and creative
- Have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and solve problems quickly
- Demonstrate excellent project management and scheduling skills

- Work closely with the Product Manager and Development Manager to execute the designs to reality with an iterative development process
- Be a self-starter and be able to establish trusted relationships with partners and offshore development teams

Responsibilities:
- Create innovative and appealing designs in a fast-paced environment, through sketches, storyboards, user task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and the production of final assets for specific features and projects. Lead design efforts, usability prototyping, design validation and usability testing efforts.

Manage and build relationships with various stakeholders and partners.
- Assess data from multiple sources, synthesize it, and develop strategies.
- Deliver high quality experiences on time and on budget.
- Understand and incorporate technical, business and user requirements into designs.

Required:
5+ years’ experience in applied user experience and user interface design
3+ years user experience windows application design work
A design portfolio demonstrating breadth and depth  in interaction and visual design.

Desired:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent certificates in design related field including interaction design, industrial design, graphic design, or other related field.
