Overview
Our client designs and manufactures a high volume Clean Tech product used to moderate power consumption in lighting. In operation since 2004, the company has a powerful and dedicated leadership team committed to fine-tuning complementary technologies that take advantage of the simplicity and power of its core control technology
We are seeking an energetic VP Product Development, with the vision, enthusiasm, leadership and a continuous improvement mindset to drive product development from the lab to the market.
You will be a member of the leadership team, defining corporate goals, establishing engineering strategies and resources, and guiding product and technology development to meet company objectives. This position reports to the CTO, and is based in Vancouver, BC.
As inspirational leader, you will be responsible for managing the engineering team, including product innovation and development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and product support.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be drawn from the international technology community, and will possess 15+ years of leadership experience in leading, coaching, mentoring and developing commercial engineering teams.
It will be critical for this person to have deep experience in power supplies and lighting, as well as in planning, scheduling, and delivering highly-technical, manufactured products. As the senior technical leader within the company, you will demonstrate a willingness and ability to represent the company among customers and partners and other key stakeholders. You must possess a strong project management background, coupled with a track record of meeting/exceeding aggressive product delivery milestones.
