Chief Financial Officer, Cleantech EV Manufacturing ****Completed****

Our client is an emerging, fast-growth leader in the electric vehicle industry with a focus on bringing new technology, safety and performance to the recreational and light vehicle segment. We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the executive team to help the company grow to the next level. The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of private and public company financial management, ranging from extensive equity investments and investor management to corporate exits, and have a deep understanding of the operational requirements of a fast-growing enterprise. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable in a pre-revenue, early-stage technology company environment and understand what the company needs to transition into revenue and production.

Responsibilities:

The CFO will be a vital part of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO and being responsible for all aspects of finance and operations. She/he will oversee all financial activities and be expected to contribute to the strategic and operating decisions necessary to accomplish the company's vision. She/he will be the primary contact for shareholder relations and will be responsible for the development and execution of the IR strategy.

  • Accountable for all financial policies and practices which impact and control the organization's operations, assets, management processes and information systems.

  • Ensure accuracy, financial integrity and consistency of all financial information following all regulatory requirements.

  • Oversight of preparation and submission of all required regulatory reporting for a publicly listed company.

  • Capital structuring and management to support the company's development and expansion plans.

  • Lead due diligence and valuation supporting the corporate financing strategies.

  • Take ownership of the financial structuring of contracts and delivery of accurate documentation.

  • Provide value-added consulting to the senior management team in negotiations with strategic supply chain, technology, and go-to-market partners.

  • Maintain effective relationships with all financial constituencies, including customers, bankers, external auditors, legal and financial consultants, and other legal/regulatory bodies.

  • Support the strategic and operational management planning processes by understanding gross and unit margin economics to support the company's efforts to build a higher-margin business.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting leadership positions with international manufacturing companies and a CPA or equivalent designation.

  • Broad functional experience across operations, accounting, tax, treasury and financial systems in industry.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements for publicly listed companies.

  • Highly collaborative, fast-paced and high energy.

  • As an IR leader, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a core requirement.

For transparency reporting purposes, the estimated base compensation range is $220k to $275k annually, plus variable compensation and long-term incentives. This range is an estimate only and may be adjusted to reflect market conditions.
