Head of Facilities and Global Asset Management
Our client is a fast-growing life sciences company with offices around the globe. The company is headquartered in Vancouver and has a hybrid on-site and distributed workforce.
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical Facilities leader to oversee the maintenance and operations of our global biologic and pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment while meeting our customers' production and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of all facilities, equipment, and systems
Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and increase equipment efficiency
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, such as GMP and OSHA regulations
Manage the budget for facility maintenance and upgrades, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability
Develop and manage a team of maintenance technicians and other support staff
Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality control, and engineering, to meet their facility-related needs
Implement and monitor safety programs to prevent workplace accidents and injuries
Maintain accurate records of all facility maintenance activities and equipment maintenance history
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field
15+ years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing facilities
Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, as well as local building and safety codes
Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
