Position Description & Key Qualifications

Reporting to the Vice President/GM Cloud Solutions, the VP, Product Management is accountable for the success of Change Healthcare’s next generation Enterprise Imaging solution, according to the business goals defined by the Imaging, Workflow & Care Solutions (IWCS) Executive team. The VP, Product Management is directly responsible for: product strategy; execution of Change Healthcare’s next generation Enterprise Imaging solutions roadmap; and, developing go-to-market plans. 

The VP, Product Management ensures IWCS delivers competitive solutions to the market that contribute to predictable business results and optimizes resources based on the strategic plan.

To be successful in this role you will be an expert at: managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously; making hard strategic decisions based on data and experience; and, achieving alignment and buy-in to the strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a key member of the leadership team: inspire employees across the organization, beyond his/her immediate team. Promote the company’s values and be a role model for leaders in the organization.

  • Shape the strategy of the entire organization and contribute beyond the scope of his/her role, based on wide perspective and reach experience.

  • Build a winning strategy: build and monitor the execution of the solution strategy that includes transition from existing solutions to the next generation.

  • Lead market research activities to understand trends and customer behaviors in the market to ensure the effectiveness of IWCS strategy.

  • Go-to-Market plan: value propositions, key messages, sales alignment, pricing, segmentation and campaign to achieve desired adoption and sales targets of the solutions.

  • Lead a team of product managers that can work closely and effectively with the engineering team.

  • Frequently connect with customers and represent their point of view in internal discussions.

  • Serve as a bridge across Change Healthcare’s business units, leading to the alignment of product development processes and integration plans, as needed to accomplish strategy.

  • Manage a team of direct and indirect reports.

  • Full responsibility for hiring, performance, salary and termination decisions within your organization.

Qualifications:

  • Strong planning, decision making and judgment skills.

  • Data driven – making decision based on hard facts.

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

  • Ability to work in cross-functional matrixed organization: Influencer, collaborator, team player.

  • Good judgment – capable of making good decisions quickly.

  • Experience working across multiple boundaries including internal and external relationships.

  • Proven experience in migrating products from on-premise to cloud.

  • 15+ years of product management experience, specifically in enterprise systems.

  • 10+ years of leading and managing large-scale organizations (75+ team members).

  • Experience in Agile methodologies implemented at a large scale.

  • Experience with large scale cloud solutions is an asset.

  • Experience in Healthcare IT, and specifically Medical Imaging is a definite asset.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, health informatics, healthcare or marketing or related field is mandatory.

  • Strong preference for advanced business or technical education (MBA, MSc).

  • Preference for clinical certification (MD, RT, RN).

Other:

  • This role is located in Vancouver, BC and there is a relocation allowance available. They will consider remote candidates living on the west coast of the USA or within a 2 hour direct flight to Vancouver.
